The Center for Media Integrity of the Americas, in partnership with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) and the New York City Bar Association invite you to the exclusive screening of the Colombian documentary film, Después del Frío ("After the Cold”).

The film - produced by ICTJ with support from Sweden and the Kingdom of Norway - tells a compelling story about the human costs of war, polarization, injustice and ultimately, reconciliation, tracing the personal journeys of both victims and perpetrators. Played out against the backdrop of Colombia’s six decade internal conflict and the 2016 Peace Agreement, Después del Frío is an intimate portrait of lives shattered far from the headlines. It reveals the paradox of peacemaking on a macro-level: that it cannot occur until acknowledgment of responsibility, forgiveness and healing take root on an individual level.

Please join us for an afternoon of powerful storytelling that will begin with a screening of Después del Frío (in Spanish with English subtitles), followed by a fireside chat with the producer, award winning Colombian journalist and podcaster, María Jimena Duzán and special guests.

Wine, beer and soft drinks will be available.

We look forward to welcoming you.
